Holding the No. 1 overall pick, the Tennessee Titans will ramp up their draft evaluations.
The Titans will host several key prospects over the next week, 国产外流网Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Monday, per sources informed of the plan.
Penn State edge Abdul Carter visits on Thursday. Miami quarterback Cam Ward visits on Friday. Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders visits next on Monday. Colorado cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter will visit later on.
It makes perfect sense that Tennessee would meet with all of the potential top picks in the draft. Getting the visits out of the way before free agency opens on March 12 also tracks, giving the club a better chance to plot its course.
During the 2025 国产外流网Scouting Combine, new Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi noted that he's already taken calls on potential trades for the top pick. If Tennessee did trade down, it would want to know the players it could pass on. Also, if the Titans traded with, say, the New York Giants at No. 3 overall, they'd still be in play for one or more of these potential picks.
It's Due Diligence Season, the time of year when clubs across the league will be all over the board in preparation for a hectic offseason as they build their clubs for the 2025 campaign. It's notable that the Titans are meeting with the top prospects. It's not a tell-all or even an indicator of where the team is leaning. It's simply the next foot forward in a sprint just starting.
