Kyler Murray (ankle) returns late, unable to will Cardinals to win vs. Rams

After exiting in the first quarter following the Cardinals' first drive of the afternoon, quarterback Kyler Murray returned to lead Arizona's first drive of the fourth quarter in Sunday's key game against the Rams.

Murray, who was deemed questionable to return after injuring his right ankle, re-took the field with 14:24 to go and his team down 11. He was unable to lead a comeback, however, as Arizona fell 18-7 and was eliminated from postseason contention.

The dynamic QB went 7 of 9 for 80 yards upon returning and finished the game 8 of 11 for 87 yards. He was also held to a season-low two carries for 3 yards.

Murray was hobbled early when Rams defensive end Morgan Fox fell on his ankle on a tackle. Backup QB Chris Streveler entered briefly for a two-play TD drive and stayed in until Murray's return.

Streveler completed nine of 13 pass attempts for 77 yards, a touchdown and an interception.
