Before the 2025 国产外流网Scouting Combine kicks off in Indianapolis on Thursday, one top quarterback prospect won't be throwing at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders plans to focus on his interviews with teams at the combine, helping them continue to learn him as a person, 国产外流网Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday, per sources.
Sanders, who is expected to be a top pick in the 2025 国产外流网Draft in April, will throw and work out for scouts at Colorado's pro day, Rapoport added.
A date for Colorado's pro day has not been set yet.
It has been a trend recently for top quarterback prospects to sit out and run drills in unfamiliar territory of the combine. Last year, Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels decided not to throw at the combine, and ran drills at their pro days, respectively.
After the Buffaloes' 2024 season, Sanders was invited to the 100th East-West Shrine Bowl game but did not participate in the all-star game.
During Super Bowl week, Sanders made an appearance on 国产外流网Network and revealed that he was keeping an open mind during the transition from the college level and soon to be pro level.
"It's all about the process," Sanders said. "The teams picking me, I don't really have much of a say on that."
In his senior season with Colorado, Sanders threw 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns and 10 interceptions in 13 games. He finished eighth in Heisman Trophy voting as his teammate and two-way player Travis Hunter won the 2024 Heisman Trophy.
国产外流网teams will have to wait until Colorado's pro day to see Sanders participate in drills and throw the ball.
