- It's the second week of training camp, meaning there's still time to board the "Kyle Pitts Hype Train." Below is a shot of the Falcons' touted rookie tight end making a big play in practice.
- Commissioner Roger Goodell took in the Arizona Cardinals' first day in full pads up close on Tuesday as he dropped by the team's training camp practice. Goodell arrived with Cardinals owner Michael Bidwill toward the end of practice. The Commissioner greeted fans and snapped photos and also spoke with Cardinals players and staff. "It's always good to see him," Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury said, .
- Russell Wilson gave an early glimpse of what to expect from the Seahawks new offense under new offensive coordinator Shane Waldron in an interview with 国产外流网Network's LaDainian Tomlinson on Inside Training Camp Live. "Well, it's all West Coast, so we have a lot of similar thoughts and ideas and everything that we've done," Wilson said. "We have been able to do a lot of great things over the past several years and I think that, you know, we want to be able to keep a lot of that good stuff that we've done but also bring a little bit of change of pace, change of look here and there." Unprompted, Wilson went on to praise Gerald Everett, saying the Seahawks' new tight end has looked 'phenomenal' so far during camp and that the addition of center Gabe Jackson is another essential piece for what the offense is trying to accomplish. "It's been fun for us," Wilson said. "We want the versatility to be able do it all. It's going to come through the running game, it's going to come through the passing game, it's going to come through explosive plays and all the different things that we can do. We have a lot of versatility and it starts up front -- it starts with that key part of it and it starts with guys making plays. At the end of the day, to go where we want to go, it's gonna come down to one, two plays here and there, And it starts right now."
- News of Trey Lance , which you can view below, will excite those wanting to see the rookie QB start ASAP. According to Kyle Shanahan, however, expectations should remain tempered. The 49ers coach told reporters that Lance's lone snap was done so that the starters could get familiar with a designed run play for the first-round pick. Shanahan added that the play doesn't mean we'll be seeing Lance receive an uptick in first-team reps moving forward. "I don't really look at it like that," he said. "I thought he had decent day. I thought he did good with his reps, not perfect but we're just evaluating everybody right now."
- the Photographer? The Packers QB was spotted getting in some reps at a different position during practice.
- The 2021 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to become the first back-to-back Super Bowl champions since the 2003-04 New England Patriots. Appearing on Inside Training Camp Live, Bucs coach Bruce Arians shed light on his team's attitude as they try to become the ninth team to accomplish that feat, while adding the looming incentives which should contribute to their cause this season. "Now they're hungry. These guys are really, really hungry to do it again," Arians said. "We've got a lot of guys where鈥 You know, money talks too now. We've got a lot of guys working on contracts this year." Tampa Bay managed to keep the entire Super Bowl-winning starting lineup together as they go for two in a row. Several key players hit unrestricted free agency in 2022, with the most notable being franchise-tagged wide receiver 锘, defensive end 锘, center Ryan Jensen, defensive tackle 锘, cornerback Carlton Davis, tight end 锘, tight end O.J. Howard and running backs and Ronald Jones. While bringing back this entire roster will be tough to accomplish in '22, the problem could certainly help their aim of repeating as Super Bowl champs.
- Cowboys wide receiver Michael Gallup is often the overlooked part of what is a stellar WR corps in Dallas, but he stands as an essential piece in more ways than one. Along with Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb, the trio nearly reached 1,000 yards apiece in 2020, but their true potential will be realized upon the return of Dak Prescott this season. Making an appearance on Inside Training Camp Live, Gallup offered a glimpse into one of the most talented pass-catching corps in the league as they approach a crucial year. "Amari is the top dog -- oldest in the room. If we have questions, we always go to Amari first. He's always been that leader," Gallup said. "Doesn't talk too much, but if you ask him something he will definitely hook it up for you. Then CeeDee, he's the up and newcomer. Obviously, he puts a smile on everyone's face when he's catching those balls and everything, but our wide receiver room is great. We got Noah Brown, Cedric Wilson coming off the bench. Then, me, I'm in there to keep the whole squad together -- I'm like the little glue." Speaking of the leader of the Cowboys WR room, Cooper gave a positive update on the ankle injury that found him on the PUP list to start camp. "I'm close to 100 percent," Cooper said, via . "I'm trying to be the best Amari Cooper that I've been."
- With the Broncos' QB battle in full swing, offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur was asked if either Drew Lock or has created any separation. Shurmur, who's coached Lock for a season and spent time with Bridgewater in Minnesota, declined to say but did drop a notable soundbite about the third-year QB. "I've seen both guys getting better. This is the best version of Drew that I've seen," he said. "I think he's done a really good job. 鈥 Teddy has got experience in multiple offenses and so, what we call apple, somebody else called orange so he said, Oh, OK, it's orange,' so we roll and so I think Teddy's done a good job."
- Back in May, Lions rookie Penei Sewell admitted it wasn't easy shifting from left to right tackle but said he was up for the challenge. With a few months of experience -- and a week of camp -- now under his belt, Sewell confidently updated reporters on his progress. "It's been good. Now I'm a right tackle, you know what I mean? It's fun, " he said. "I just enjoy every step, enjoy every learning curve because there's going to be battles. I'm in the league now, I'm here with the big boys so I just gotta know that everything happens for a reason. It's next-play mentality, I can only control what's ahead of me and not what's behind me."
- Keenan Allen锘's route-running is looking mighty fine ahead of Year 9. Just another day in the office for the Chargers wideout.
- Think 锘Jameis Winston锘 is excited about the Saints' first day of padded practices? See for yourself.
- Training camp isn't just for getting the body in gear, but also the mind. For the Minnesota Vikings, they were presented with an age-old brain teaser and though the going was tough at the onset, it all came together in the end. A rather hysterical end, at that.
