After missing a month with an ankle injury, Cooper Kupp might be nearing a return.
Kupp returned to Rams practice this week as a limited participant and will be questionable for Los Angeles' Week 7 date with the Las Vegas Raiders, coach Sean McVay told reporters Friday.
Kupp injured his ankle in the Rams' 41-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, eliminating the Rams' top receiver from the offensive equation just one week after they lost Puka Nacua to injury. Since then, Matthew Stafford has been forced to make it work with the likes of Jordan Whittington, Demarcus Robinson, Tutu Atwell, Tyler Johnson and tight end Colby Parkinson.
Getting Kupp back would be a boon for the Rams, who have managed to cobble together the league's 12th-ranked passing offense in terms of yards per game. Much of the credit is due to Stafford, whose job would get much easier if he is able to welcome back Kupp into the lineup.
At 1-4, the Rams' season is starting to slip away. There's no better time than this weekend to get Kupp back.
