Packers CB Jaire Alexander had knee scoped, likely out for season

Jaire Alexander hasn't played for the Green Bay Packers since Week 11 and it's unlikely he will again this season.

Alexander, who's been dealing with a PCL tear, is likely out for the remainder of the Packers' campaign, head coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday.

Alexander recently underwent a knee scope, ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøNetwork Insider Ian Rapoport reported, to clean out some loose bodies and alleviate swelling. He will undergo rehab and could potentially be ready for a return in a few weeks, Rapoport added.

Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot and will be on the road for Super Wild Card Weekend after its regular-season finale Sunday against the Chicago Bears.

Alexander's already missed nine games this year, leaving the Green Bay defense without its two-time Pro Bowl cornerback.

The third-highest paid corner in the game on an annual basis ($21 million), Alexander has been plagued by injury problems and over the past four regular seasons will have played in only 34 of a possible 68 games.

Alexander's 2024 campaign will end with him having posted 16 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions in seven games (seven starts).
