Ricky Pearsall is nearing his first game action in the NFL.
The San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver's 21-day practice window was opened on Monday ahead of their Week 7 game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team posted a video of Pearsall dressed for practice after its announcement.
Pearsall was placed on the reserve/non-football injury list on Sept. 2 after he suffered a gunshot wound to the chest in an attempted robbery in downtown San Francisco. He was guaranteed to sit at least four weeks and then has missed two more games while healing up.
San Francisco has three weeks to activate Pearsall to the active roster. If the 49ers don't, the wideout will be lost for the season.
The No. 31 overall pick has been with the team throughout his recovery. General manager John Lynch expressed confidence the week of Pearsall's injury that the rookie would play in 2024 and that the team was placing him on NFI so that he takes an appropriate amount of time for his physical and mental health.
Now, it appears Pearsall is finally ready to make his 国产外流网debut, and not a moment too soon for the 49ers, who at 3-3 are dealing with injuries to their top two running backs in Christian McCaffrey (Achilles) and Jordan Mason (shoulder).
