- DT Sheldon Rankins was released after one season with the team. Rankins, a 2016 first-round pick of the Saints, played in seven games last season, all starts, before ending the year on the non-football injury list. Rankins, who signed a two-year, $24.5 million deal last offseason, will save the Bengals $9.6 million against the salary cap with his release.
