国产外流网injury updates, latest league news from Monday, Nov. 29

Jack Conklin锘's return to the field was short-lived and his season is unfortunately over.

The Cleveland Browns tackle suffered a torn patellar tendon in Sunday night's loss to Baltimore, 国产外流网Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The injury ends his 2021 season after just seven games played. Head coach Kevin Stefanski later confirmed the ruptured tendon and told reporters that Conklin will need to undergo surgery to repair the injury.

Conklin battled injuries throughout the 2021 campaign, landing on injured reserve with an elbow ailment from which he'd only returned Sunday. He didn't make it to halftime of his first game back from IR, suffering the knee injury on his 10th offensive snap of the game.

Conklin has a history of knee injuries, tearing his ACL in early 2018 and landing on injured reserve near the end of the following season. When healthy, he's been elite, earning first-team All-Pro honors in 2016 and 2020. He won't make a repeat appearance in 2021 and is instead headed for a lengthy recovery and rehab process.

The Browns also placed long snapper Charley Hughlett on the team's reserve/COVID-19 list Monday.
