Monday's 国产外流网injury and roster news for Week 1

The Dallas Cowboys will be without La'el Collins when the team plays against the Los Angeles Rams to start the season Sunday night.

The team announced it placed the offensive tackle and linebacker Sean Lee on injured reserve. Neither will be eligible to return for three weeks.

Collins has been dealing with a hip injury that caused him to miss most of training camp. He has only missed one game in the last three years.

The Cowboys also signed defensive back C.J. Goodwin, linebacker Justin March-Lillard and linebacker Joe Thomas.

Defensive end Randy Gregory was moved from the reserve/suspended list and officially reinstated, per the transaction wire.

The team also placed wide receiver Ventrell Bryant on the reserve/injured list.

  • In the first injury report of the 2020 国产外流网season, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks were each limited in their teams' Monday practices.

In addition to Cooks (quadricep), also limited for the Texans on Monday were cornerbacks Phillip Gaines (hamstring) and Lonnie Johnson (hip), running back Cullen Gillaspia (hamstring) and linebacker Jonathan Greenard (ankle).

In addition to Kelce (knee), Chiefs defensive tackle Derrick Nnadi (ankle) was limited. Defensive end Alex Okafor (calf), safety Juan Thornhill (knee), running back Darrel Williams (hamstring) and tight end Deon Yelder (groin) were full participants on Monday.

In other Texans news, they signed offensive tackle Brent Qvale and long snapper Jonathan Weeks. Cornerback Gareon Conley and wide receiver Isaiah Coulter were placed on injured reserve.

  • Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane confirmed running back Lamar Miller will be in for a visit. The team signed free agents defensive back Dean Marlowe and wide receiver/kick returner Andre Roberts, who were released on Saturday. Guard Jon Feliciano and wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins were placed on the reserve/injured list.
  • Big news for the Cleveland Browns offensive line. Coach Kevin Stefanski said center JC Tretter is back at practice after dealing with a knee injury. He underwent surgery in August.
  • Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz told reporters that his groin tightness from last week feels better now and the injury is behind him. Defensive back Cre'von LeBlanc also signed with the team, per the transaction wire.
  • The New York Jets are putting wideout Jeff Smith on injured reserve, 国产外流网Network's Tom Pelissero reported, per a source. He suffered a shoulder sprain last month, but should be ready when eligible to return in three weeks. The team also placed offensive lineman Cameron Clark, linebacker Patrick Onwuasor, wideout Vyncint Smith and defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga on IR. They signed offensive lineman Josh Andrews, tight end Dan Brown, and defensive backs Matthias Farley and Nate Hairston to the active roster.
  • The Cincinnati Bengals re-signed cornerback Torry McTyer to the active roster and placed cornerback Trae Waynes on the reserve/injured list, the team announced. Coach Zac Taylor told reporters he expects wideout A.J. Green (hamstring) to be a full-go Sunday.
  • The Detroit Lions placed running back Bo Scarbrough on injured reserve along with defensive back Mike Ford. The team also officially signed running back Adrian Peterson and guard Oday Aboushi.
  • Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone says defensive lineman Taven Bryan (knee) looked good at practice today. The team is trying to bring him back slowly. Marrone also confirmed running back Devonta Freeman was in for a visit Sunday. He said they will see where it goes. The Jags also signed receiver Trey Quinn to the practice squad.
  • Arizona Cardinals running back Kenyan Drake said the walking boot he had on in camp wasn't a big deal and that he was out of it in a couple of days. His health isn't a concern for him he said. The Cardinals also announced they have waived wide receiver Johnnie Dixon with an injury settlement.
  • The New York Giants are set to release cornerback Deandre Baker, 国产外流网Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source. Baker was on the Commissioner's Exempt list after charges with four counts of armed robbery. New York also signed tight end Eric Tomlinson and defensive back Brandon Williams. Linebacker David Mayo and safety Xavier McKinney were placed on injured reserve.
  • Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay said he is "optimistic" that running back Darrell Henderson will be ready to go for Sunday night against the Cowboys.
  • The New England Patriots are promoting rookie LB Cassh Maluia to the team's 53-man roster, Pelissero reported. In other moves, the Patriots placed running back Damien Harris and defensive lineman Beau Allen on IR and promoted running back J.J. Taylor from the practice squad.
  • The Indianapolis Colts placed tight end Trey Burton, who missed eight games last season with the Bears, on injured reserve and claimed defensive tackle Eli Ankou off waivers from Cleveland, the team announced Monday. The team also signed guard Chaz Green. Defensive lineman Sheldon Day was placed on injured reserve.
  • Previously released by the team to make room for Josh Dobbs, Devlin "Duck" Hodges is back with the Pittsburgh Steelers, who signed the quarterback to the practice squad. Pittsburgh also announced it released punter Jordan Berry. Pittsburgh also signed Super Bowl-champion punter Dustin Colquitt.
  • The Las Vegas Raiders placed backup quarterback Marcus Mariota on injured reserve, along with linebacker Tanner Muse. The team also announced the signing of QB DeShone Kizer to the practice squad and re-signed linebacker Kyle Wilber and offensive tackle Sam Young.
  • The Chicago Bears waived linebacker Isaiah Irving with an injury settlement.
  • The Tennessee Titans signed defensive back Chris Milton and running back Senorise Perry and waived wide receiver Cameron Batson. Offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list.
  • A day after he was waived, 国产外流网International Player Pathway alum Efe Obada re-signed with the Carolina Panthers, the team announced. Obada, a defensive lineman, has appeared in 26 games over the last two seasons for Carolina. In another move, cornerback Eli Apple (ankle/foot) and wide receiver Keith Kirkwood were placed on the reserve/injured list. The Panthers also signed safety Kenny Robinson and offensive lineman Matt Kaskey to the practice squad. The team also signed tight end Colin Thompson.
  • The Green Bay Packers signed defensive back Parry Nickerson and placed defensive back Kabion Ento and linebacker Kamal Martin on injured reserve.
  • The Seattle Seahawks signed running back Nick Bellore.
  • The Washington Football Team signed wide receiver Shelton Gibson and defensive back Luke Cole to the practice squad.
