Ezekiel Elliott not traveling with Cowboys due to disciplinary reasons; RB to be inactive vs. Falcons

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is not traveling with the team to Atlanta due to disciplinary reasons and will be inactive for Sunday's game versus the Falcons, ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøNetwork Insider Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.

ESPN's Todd Archer first reported the news.

In light of Elliott's absence on Sunday, which has since been announced by the team, the Cowboys elevated Dalvin Cook from the practice squad to the active roster, marking the second straight week the veteran RB will suit up for Dallas.

Cook produced 12 yards (six attempts) in his debut for the Cowboys in last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers, but figures to see a larger role on Sunday against the Falcons alongside Rico Dowdle.

Averaging 74.1 rushing yards per game, the Cowboys rank last in the ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷Íøand are up against a Falcons defense that has surrendered 132.6 rushing yards per game (21st).

Elliott's 149 yards (3.1 per attempt) are second on the team and he's produced the most rushing touchdowns (two) for Dallas entering Week 9.
