Fresh off a dominant win over the Falcons, the Cowboys won't have a go-to target for at least the next two games.
Amari Cooper is being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday and won't play Sunday versus the Chiefs, . ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøNetwork's Tom Pelissero reported Cooper tested positive for COVID-19.
Cooper will also miss Thursday's Thanksgiving Game against the Las Vegas Raiders because he is unvaccinated, Pelissero reported on ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøTotal Access.
Per the league's COVID-19 protocol, unvaccinated players must spend a mandatory 10 days away from the team. The earliest Cooper can rejoin the team is Nov. 29, three days after the Cowboys' Week 12 matchup vs. the Raiders. Dallas goes on the road in Week 13 to face the New Orleans Saints on Thursday, Dec. 2.
Cooper is in the midst of another productive campaign, catching 44 passes for 583 yards and five touchdowns in nine games. Dallas' pairing with second-year wideout CeeDee Lamb has paid off, propelling the Cowboys to the fourth-ranked passing offense with an average of 294.3 yards per game.
Dak Prescott will have to lean on Lamb and others (Cedrick Wilson being one) a little more this weekend, and potentially for the next couple of weeks.
