University of Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders has committed to the East-West Shrine Bowl, the all-star game on Wednesday.
The son of Pro Football Hall of Famer and Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, the 22-year-old quarterback has thrown for 3,222 yards, 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season, with a career-best 72.9% completion percentage. The senior QB also has run for four touchdowns for the 8-2 Buffaloes, who are 6-1 in the Big 12 and gunning for a spot in the expanded College Football Playoffs.
Celebrating its 100th annual event, the Shrine game is one of two major all-star events, along with the Senior Bowl, leading up to the 2025 ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøDraft. The Shrine Bowl game will be held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, Tex., on Jan. 30, with a week's worth of practices leading up to the event.

The 6-foot-1, 198-pound Sanders is a fascinating QB prospect in the 2025 class and one of the bigger names the Shrine Bowl has pulled in recent years. His family history, toughness, consistent production at both Jackson State and Colorado and impressive accuracy (career 69.6% completions) should serve him well. Sanders also has 124 career TD passes to only 24 interceptions.
Sanders' lack of elite arm strength and size are concerns, and he's been guilty of holding onto the ball too long at times. Teams might also want to use Shrine week to drill down on Sanders' personality to determine if he has what it takes to quarterback an ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷Íøfranchise.
The 2025 ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøDraft begins April 24 in Green Bay, Wisc.
