Darius Robinson is all set to become the 31st and final 2024 ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷ÍøDraft first-round pick to make his rookie debut.
Robinson, who has been sidelined since the start of the season with a calf injury, is officially active and poised to take his first ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷Íøsnaps Sunday in a pivotal matchup against the Minnesota Vikings.
The 23-year-old defensive end out of Missouri was taken 27th overall in the draft. He was the Cardinals' second first-rounder following wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (No. 4 overall).
Robinson's official start to his ¹ú²úÍâÁ÷Íøcareer has been delayed due to a calf injury he suffered in August that landed him on injured reserve. He was activated off IR on Oct. 28, but the Cards have been careful in bringing him along.
His debut now comes in an important matchup for the Cardinals against the Vikings as they look to stay in contention in an ultra-close NFC West.
Once Robinson records his first snap on Sunday, he'll be the 31st member of the 2024 first-round draft class to play in this season. It's somewhat eerie that Robinson's debut will come against Minnesota, as Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy is out for the season with a knee injury, ensuring the Cardinals edge be the last rookie first-rounder to debut.
The Cardinals (6-5) and Vikings (9-2) kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
